Estudio sobre la televisión educativa y su incidencia en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Caso Educatv

In Ecuador, educational television occupies a minimum percentage on television grills because reality shows, soap operas, shows and other programs that give rise to sensationalism prevail, causing such content to be subject to criticism and widespread as Telebasura. Therefore, based on the need for a television that entertains, has fun but at the same time educates in quality of values, the Ministry of Education based on the Organic Law of Communication (LOC), carries out “Educate, Television to learn”, This being the point of reference to develop the present case study in order to know the influence of educational television in the teaching-learning scenario of Ecuadorian children, adolescents and youth. Through observation, a critical analysis was made of the content transmitted by the educational channel; In addition to making use of bibliographic information provided by the web portal in order to know the beginnings and purpose of it; also interviews conducted with television and education professionals helped to increase the existing information on educational television, in relation to the way in which it contributes to intellectual development. While the survey technique, allowed to know the level of acceptance and consumption of educational television by children, youth and adolescents, this as additional data.
