Summary: | Chronic kidney failure is classified as a non-communicable disease or appears due to epidemiological and demographic changes, and its important impact on the population in relation to disease and disability. Based on the above, the type of diet each patient eats will significantly influence the treatment they require, taking into account the customs and idiosyncrasies of each individual. Therefore, nutritional counseling plays an important role in the different stages of CKD, preventing overweight, obesity and malnutrition, the latter mainly in the dialysis stage. On the other hand, hemodialysis is a means predestined to replace kidney function. This treatment completely changes the patient's lifestyle. There are many alternatives that could become an initiative. In people with chronic kidney failure, depending on the patient's health and condition, hemodialysis or kidney transplant may be more effective. |
