Περίληψη: | This document details the production costs of the pitahaya (Hylocereus undatus) crop in the province of Los Ríos. The pitahaya is a fruit that is produced in the Amazon Region as the main production area, which has had significant growth associated with the use of the soil, climate and costs that make it an exportable option. The production of pitahaya in our country is very small, the cultivation of this fruit serves to complement the economy of the producers during the time in which the cycle products (mostly grains) are in the development stage. The realization of this project on the production costs of the pitahaya crop, is carried out with the need to provide farmers and entrepreneurs with a guide to the problems they face with non-traditional crops due to the lack of knowledge about the production costs and productivity in the cultivation of this fruit. This has led to the lack of study work for the production and development of pitahaya, which, however, has influenced the low levels of yield and quality. Therefore, with this research, we seek to provide complete and updated information that serves as support material and incentive for the creation of innovative ideas, which increases productivity, marketing and use of such an exquisite fruit as the pitahaya; being in turn a product of great importance. |
