The objective of this clinical case study is to describe the intervention of the respiratory therapist in a 54-year-old male patient with acute pulmonary edema. Having as a conclusion that the actions of the respiratory therapy professional are of vital importance for the maintenance of adequate levels of arterial oxygenation which guarantee the functioning of the different organs of the body. |

Esto ocasiona dificultad de estos últimos para realizar un adecuado intercambio gaseoso. Se presenta el caso clínico de un masculino de 54 años de edad con antecedentes de enfermedad renal tipo 5 en diálisis el cual presenta un día de evolución de disnea de medianos esfuerzos, diaforesis, tos con expectoración y desaturación la cual es progresiva por lo cual acude a la unidad de emergencia de una casa de salud. Como objetivo de este estudio de caso clínico se plantea describir la intervención del terapista respiratorio en paciente masculino de 54 años con edema agudo de pulmón.
