Plan estratégico para el desarrollo del turismo comunitario en la ciudad de Quevedo, año 2019

Tourism has experienced continuous growth and deep diversification, until it becomes one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world. It has a close relationship with development and is enrolled in the growing number of new destinations, has gained greater strength during the last years worldwide; It has become a key part of the economic structure of the countries. Considered as a strategic sector, capable of leading a country along the path of growth and subsequent economic development. Tourism has become a key driver of socioeconomic progress. Ecuador has innumerable areas of great tourist attraction that stand out for their varied culture and great biodiversity, among these, the central mountains and the Amazon, have a great wealth. The economic development presented by Quevedo constitutes it as one of the leading cantons at the provincial level due to the various commercial activities, placing it as a city that generates income and sources of employment, since companies with different productive activities are located within the city, They attract more investors and promote local tourism. The coastal location of the city influences to have a pleasant climate possessing natural resources with a wide fauna of animal and vegetable species make the city a tourist potential and a favorite destination for nationals and foreigners.
