Περιγραφή
Περίληψη:Rice is one of the most widely produced crops in the country, therefore, it is necessary to take into account relevant information on rice cultivation and the different stages. The main objective of the research was to determine the effect of drought on rice crop production (Oryza sativa L.). In preparing the document, information was collected from scientific articles, websites and virtual libraries, considering it as non-experimental bibliographic research, through the use of synthesis, analysis, and summary of the information. The study found that drought due to water shortage in rice cultivation leads to a reduction in production, affecting the growth and development of plants. In Ecuador, high temperatures associated with climate change worsen the situation, reducing yield in cereal-producing regions. The appropriate water line for rice cultivation varies in each phenotypic phase, with germination between 5-10 cm, the vegetative phase between 10-15 cm, and the reproductive phase between 20-25 cm. Proper water line control, temperature regulation, nutrient availability and efficient water management can significantly save this vital resource.
