| সংক্ষিপ্ত: | The present work addresses the relevance of environmental education in the development of ecological awareness among 5th-year students of Basic General Education (EGB), parallel "D," at the Aurora Estrada y Ayala de Ramírez Pérez Educational Unit during the 2024-2025 academic period. In line with institutional research in pedagogy and educational innovation, and within the subline of education, inclusion, and interculturality, this study aims to determine the impact of environmental education on students. The methodology employed a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design, applied to a sample of 31 students selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling. Data collection was carried out using a structured survey consisting of 20 closed-ended questions. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including tables and graphs, with Microsoft Excel. Ethical principles were ensured through data confidentiality and the informed consent of participants, contributing to the development of responsible educational practices and the strengthening of pedagogical strategies focused on environmental education. The results revealed that the impact of environmental education on the development of students' ecological awareness is 60.64%, demonstrating that environmental education is a key mechanism in shaping responsible citizens toward their environment. Therefore, it is crucial to design innovative pedagogical strategies that reinforce student participation, social commitment, and the practical application of acquired knowledge for the benefit of the environment. |
