Opis
Sažetak:Hydroponic lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is a form of plant management that allows cultivation without soil. This technique mainly produces herbaceous plants that take advantage of non-traditional sites or areas without neglecting them, and at the same time keeping in mind the needs of the plants, such as light, temperature, water, nutrients, planting density and pest and disease problems that will strongly affect the crop yield. The objective of the study is to determine the effect of salicylic acid and brassinosteroids as inducers of resistance to salinity in the province of Los Ríos, at the Technical University of Babahoyo, a project carried out at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, through a greenhouse study located within the experimental type faculty, which has an adaptable system for hydroponics, where 9 treatments were carried out with an electrical conductivity of 3.5 and 7.0 due to high amounts of salt in the water, and applying 2 that they were salicylic acid and brassinosteroids, the data of plant height, number of leaves, leaf size, root length, dry and fresh weight, chlorophyll and yield were evaluated, all this was evaluated using the Tukey test in infostat. The results obtained from these data indicate that water with a high percentage of salinity is directly detrimental to the growth of lettuce crops. Salicylic acid has been shown to give the most favorable results when exposed to high salinity in water, even when these products contribute to control potential saline stress in lettuce crops.
