Summary:The different innovative teaching strategies have been gaining increasing importance in education. Since it functions as an instrumental mediator and influences value education from an early age, didactic strategies are used to support the development of students in aspects related to thought, oral and written language, imagination, socialization, better knowledge of oneself and everything related to learning. The objective of this work is to develop innovative didactic strategies in the language area for students with reading comprehension problems of the 5th year "A" of the EU "Adolfo María Astudillo", Babahoyo canton, Los Ríos Province 2022. Through the observation technique and the survey, it was possible to give a result to the hypotheses raised and the answers were as expected, the students present reading comprehension problems due to the fact that teachers do not apply innovative didactic strategies in the children, this could be evidenced by means of the questionnaires, when carrying out the respective statistical analyzes, yielded the following: Teachers use traditional methods that do not contribute to the maximum development of the child's intellectual potential, for this reason a guide of innovative didactic strategies was applied to improve the learning of the infants of said institution .
