| Summary: | The Planning Department of the Technical University of Babahoyo lacks an automated system to facilitate the monitoring of the Annual Operational Plan and operational indicators. The monitoring report is carried out bi-annually, is prepared by the University Planning Directorate, and is sent via email and saved on Google Drive without standardized formatting and security measures. As a result, the current process of monitoring the Annual Operational Plan is inefficient and lacks coordination, proper tools, and staff training. The general objective of the study is to propose the automation of the monitoring of the Annual Operational Plan by diagnosing the shortcomings of the current processes. Qualitative research method is used to analyze the current processes of the POA and the automation of the monitoring of the UTB Operational Plan. The obtained results include the identification of the current processes of the POA, the analysis of challenges in monitoring the POA, identification of requirements for the automation of the POA monitoring, identification of improvements in the current processes of the POA, and the evaluation of the feasibility of the automation of the POA monitoring. The final proposal is to develop a technological tool that allows for the automation of the monitoring of the Annual Operational Plan and improves the management of the POA in the UTB. |
