| Resumo: | Lifestyle is a condition that I handle properly leads to a healthy life, but in contrary situations it is a public health problem, for this reason the role of nursing is important since they favor in the task of educating users to improve the quality of life. The general objective of the study was to determine the contribution of the educational role of nurses in the management of healthy lifestyles in users aged 20 to 40 years at the Venus del Río Quevedo health center, during May to September 2019. A qualitative-quantitative and descriptive, field, cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 40 users and 2 nursing professionals, the inductive method was used, and the validated Nola Pender lifestyle instrument was applied. Obtaining as a result, that 62% of users state that, if they consume junk food, 47% responded that they consume less than a liter of water a day, 73% of the population does not perform physical activity, which is considered regrettable, 73% of users responded that they have never received educational talks within the time spent in the health center. This research is concluded taking into account that this is a population, at risk and vulnerable since it lacks a lack of health education. The absence of counseling and assistance by nursing staff is considered alarming, and this staff is a fundamental part in the promotion and prevention of diseases. |
