| Shrnutí: | The present investigation entitled "Didactic procedures and learning mathematics in students of the educational unit" Eugenio Espejo ", was aimed at determining the influence of the didactic teaching procedures in the learning of mathematics of students of the Educational Unit Eugenio Espejo, from Canton Valencia. Education is a socio-cultural, permanent process oriented to the integral formation of people; As such, education contributes to the overcoming of new generations and prepares them to be able to solve problems that arise in daily life, assume citizen roles and responsibilities. The educational modernization process itself requires that teachers be able to know and use new methodological strategies in the teaching-learning process, according to current requirements and with a projection to the future, which is intended to make the student a driver of your own learning. And that is why this research work entitled; use of didactic processes in the learning of the area of mathematics. In this sense, Due to the research modality, it is a feasible project, oriented to the study of the use of teaching techniques and strategies, used by teachers in the area of mathematics, to promote meaningful learning, therefore, it is related to pedagogy , in its didactic dimension.
