Summary:Plasma cell leukemia is a rare but aggressive form of multiple myeloma characterized by elevated levels of circulating plasma cells in peripheral blood. PCL can originate de novo (primary form) or be secondary to leukemia transformation of multiple myeloma (secondary form) (Institute for Health Technology Assessment and Research, 2016). The main objective of this clinical case is to improve the nutritional status of a 45-year-old patient with characteristics of monoclonal gammopathy type of multiple myolemma - plasma cell leukemia, she comes to the clinic for presenting symptoms 3 months ago with fever and intense headache, asthenia, reports that he has lost weight. In the physical examination, his data are as follows: weight 45 kg, height 160 m, his blood pressure is 110/80 mmHg, his heart rate: 95 bpm, his respiratory rate: 20 bpm and body temperature: 36.3 ºC. Clinically, she is pale, without the presence of edema. In the dietary assessment, the patient's intake is high in carbohydrates and in industrialized beverages, evidenced in a 24-hour recall. The dietary prescription is a diet of 1700 kcal/day, normal carbonation, high protein, low in saturated fat, high in fiber, divided into three main meals and two snacks.
