Initial oral herpes infection usually occurs in childhood and is not classified as a sexually transmitted disease. 80% of the adult population is a candidate to carry the HSV-1 and may have acquired in a non-sexual way. For this reason our study objective was to determine the incidence of Herpes simplex I in skin ulcers in children aged 5-9 years San Jacinto campus Canton province of Los Rios Baba first half 2015. The methods used in this research were Experimental - From laboratory and inductive method. The type of study that was done in the investigation were, field, laboratory, applied research and descriptive research. 9 years San Jacinto grounds it was determined that 61.2% were positive and the remaining 38.8% were negative - Once herpes simplex analysis by ELISA for children 5 performed. With respect to gender during the investigation it was observed that the male is the highest incidence with 53.8%. In this research it was determined that the instruction was a risk factor for the care of herpes simplex as 46% of respondents are of primary education, the housework occupation 82%, income under the basic basket 72% which shows that these families are extremely poor. |
