The present clinical case focuses on a 14-year-old male patient admitted to the emergency area due to the presence of intense pain in the right iliac region, with the purpose of developing the nursing care process in a patient with acute appendicitis, the Application in this case allowed the determination of the needs and / or potential health problems presented by the patient. Through the assessment and diagnosis, as well as supplying and responding to these needs through a care plan prioritizing nursing interventions to speed up the recovery of the patient, whose results were favorable during their hospital stay, being discharged under the treating medical criteria in clinical conditions. |

La sintomatología se caracteriza por dolor intenso en el lado derecho e inferior del abdomen que se irradia al ombligo y a la espalda, este dolor empeora cuando la persona tose o realiza movimientos bruscos. También se puede presentar náuseas y vómitos e inapetencia. El presente caso clínico se enfoca en un paciente masculino de 14 años de edad que ingresa por área de emergencia por presencia de dolor intenso en la región iliaca derecha, teniendo como finalidad desarrollar el proceso de atención de enfermería en un paciente con apendicitis aguda, la aplicación en este caso permitió la determinación de las necesidades y/o problemas de salud potenciales que presenta el paciente.
