Identificación de segregantes F1 de arroz japónico (Oryza sativa L.) con características fenotípicas superiores de interés comercial

VIII. SUMMARY This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the Technical University of Babahoyo, located in the km 7 1/2 of the road Babahoyo – Montalvo, Los Ríos-Ecuador. It consisted in identifying F1 segregating with superior phenotypic characteristics of commercial interest, from intraspecific crosses among japonica rice genotypes. The objectives of this study were; to obtain F1 segregating populations of japonica rice of superior genetics and commercial interests. During the development of this research, the due process of hybridization was performed using five japonica rice cultivars (reciprocal crosses). F1 populations were evaluated individually. Agronomic variables evaluated were: vigor, blooming (days to anthesis), vegetative cycle (days), No. tillers per plant, No. panicles per plant, leaf length flag (cm), width flag leaf (cm), length of leaf No. 2 (cm), width of leaf No. sheet 2 (cm), plant height (cm), panicle length (cm), grains/panicle, sterility (%) shelling (%), 1000 grain weight (g), grain length (mm), width grain (mm) and grain shape. The analysis was performed using non-parametric statistical method compared with the Kruskal-Wallis. The results showed that the segregating population of JP002/JP001, JP002/JP003, JP002/ JP004, DH/JP004, DH/JP003 stood out from the other crossings, having superior agronomic characteristics. The use of parental japonica in breeding programs it possible to obtain progeny of great agronomic value due to the genetic diversity that is expressed early in the F1 generation.
