Shrnutí:Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) is an entity of multifactorial origin that can be caused by a great variety of pathologies at maternal, fetal or placental level, and that represents high rates of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. The present case is a 32-year-old patient with intrauterine growth restriction, and its objective is to apply the nursing care process to the patient. Method: A cross-sectional literature review was carried out focusing on intrauterine growth restriction as the main disease that affects the fetus and has repercussions on the mother's health. Results and conclusions: it was possible to demonstrate that the application of the nursing care process is one of the most used methods which achieves positive results in the recovery of the user.
