Nivel de conocimiento de los internos de enfermería sobre el manejo de prácticas seguras en el Hospital General Martín Icaza. Babahoyo. Octubre 2024 – mayo 2025.

The correct administration of medications is an essential component in health care; errors during this practice can result in serious consequences for the user. In this context, the current research was carried out at the Hospital General Martín Icaza, Babahoyo. October 2024 - May 2025, whose objective is to determine the level of knowledge of nursing interns on the management of safe health care practices in the correct administration of medications. A descriptive, cross-sectional and field study was applied. The methods used for the study were: descriptive and synthetic statistics, with a quantitative approach. A survey was used as a technique and a questionnaire was used as an instrument for data collection in the sample of 111 nursing interns, the data were tabulated using the SPSS tool, where it was possible to show that the students who are in their rotating internship have a basic level of knowledge regarding the administration of medications, However, a certain percentage are not clear about the concepts, referring to recognizing the main objective of therapeutic administration 11% °(12), the definition of patient safety 9% °(10), recognition of the formula for calculating the drip 9% °(10), the routes of administration with 4% °(4), and finally, the “15 correct” 15% °(17). To conclude, it is necessary to implement training strategies such as educational lectures, workshops and training courses.
