For this reason, the objective of the research is to determine the level of knowledge of mothers about the neonatal metabolic screening test at the Playas Health Center located in the canton of the same name, because it was selected to analyze the problem exposed. The research methods used are inductive and analytical, the study has a qualitative and quantitative approach, since they are study tools that have allowed us to gather information for subsequent analysis and relationship of the variables proposed. The result of the research obtained from the surveys applied to pregnant mothers to determine their level of knowledge about the neonatal metabolic screening test indicates that there is a low level of empowerment of the benefits and importance of running the screening test in time. The conclusion generated from the results of the research is that it is verified that mothers do not have the necessary knowledge to perform this procedure in children in an appropriate manner, so a theoretical proposal aimed at the education of mothers who ensure the quality of life of newborn children. |
