Description
Summary:Amblyopia consists of a decrease in visual acuity without a specific cause that causes it. This condition to visual health has a treatment of great value if it is applied in early detection. Amblyopia can evolve and cause Anisometropia, which is an error in which one of the eyes has a different refractive error. It is necessary to detect and diagnose early to avoid damage to the visual health of children. The present study aims to demonstrate the causes of decreased visual acuity of the patient. To achieve this, comprehensive optometric and ophthalmological examinations were performed, such as visual acuity (VA), visuscopy, Hirschberg's test, ocular motility, accommodation, and Worth's test. When analyzing the results, hyperopic anisometric refractive amblyopia is diagnosed, regular check-ups every 6 months are recommended to prevent possible complications.
