Summary: | Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease throughout the world has a majority prevalence in people over 40 years of age, a prevalence that increases with the age of human beings. In adults with 40 years of age, it is located on average between 4% and 12% in the nations in which it has been inflexibly evaluated, this variation in the percentages is due to exposure to the different risk factors for this disease and population peculiarities. With the application of non-invasive mechanical ventilation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, it is sought to achieve optimal positive leads in the progress of improvement of these patients, based on its main task is to correct the ventilatory function, also managing to regenerate oxygenation and intervene in the pulmonary mechanism of the patient, preventing intubation and the connection of an invasive mechanical ventilator. The purpose of this work is to establish the prevalence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in adult patients. On the ninth day, the patient shows significant improvement, so he is placed in the observation room where he is kept for a period of 72 hours, to determine if he can be referred to intermediate hospitalization or should be kept in the ICU. with nebulization procedures with bronchodilator and medication to counteract the symptoms. It was possible to determine that with the correct use and care provided by respiratory therapy, in relation to the systematic and convenient procedures that concern this work, it is possible to reduce pathological symptoms and generate improvements in the clinical picture of the adult patient suffering from this obstructive pulmonary condition. |
