Given the symptoms, the individual feels guilty, has repetitive thoughts, irritable behavior, and also has nightmares about the event. The objective of this study is to explain how this event affects the behavior of the subject, all this was demonstrated through the application of different techniques such as observation, interview, psychometric tests such as the PSQ that resulted in a high index and TQ that gave as an effect of General PSQ=57(medium) and Recent PSQ=83(high), thus verifying the signs and symptoms presented by the patient, using the qualitative method to carry out this study in the individual. A therapeutic scheme based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) was carried out, which will help improve the well-being of the individual's life. |

A therapeutic scheme based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) was carried out, which will help improve the well-being of the individual's life.El presente estudio de caso sobre el trauma emocional y su repercusión en la conducta de un adulto joven de 20 años de la ciudad de Babahoyo se enfoca en la manera que un accidente automovilístico llega a afectar el comportamiento de la paciente y como se siente en relación a esa afectación tanto a nivel cognitivo, afectivo, conductual y somático. Dada la sintomatología el individuo se siente culpable, tiene pensamientos repetitivos, comportamiento irritable y además de pesadillas sobre el hecho. El objetivo de este estudio es explicar cómo este suceso afecta al proceder del sujeto, todo esto se llego a demostrar mediante la aplicación de distintas técnicas como la observación, entrevista, test psicométricos como el PSQ que dio como resultado un índice alto y TQ que dio como efecto de PSQ General=57(medio) y PSQ Reciente=83(alto), comprobando así con los signos y síntomas presentados por el paciente, utilizando el método cualitativo para poder efectuar este estudio en el individuo.
