Add Tag | Summary: | Age is one of the factors that influence care needs, and over the years, the body's habits, skills and special abilities change. Care needs arise according to the stage of life in which the person is. Older people need a variety of care according to their body's needs for nutrition, physical activity, recreation, support, and psychosocial well-being, as well as adherence to treatment of underlying diseases depending on the situation. Despite this fact, the elderly cannot always obtain the appropriate conditions to maintain their health and well-being, family, social and economic access to the social security system, the violation of their rights. The investigations carried out in the Geriatric Babahoyo show the difficult situations experienced by older adults, with the participation of 40 elderly who are institutionalized as men and women. This research work is carried out to determine the impact of family relationships, as well as the causalities of the abandonment of the elderly. This study has a qualitative and quantitative analysis approach to address the situation of the people involved, that is, the elderly and their families. |
