Despite this fact, the elderly cannot always obtain the appropriate conditions to maintain their health and well-being, family, social and economic access to the social security system, the violation of their rights. The investigations carried out in the Geriatric Babahoyo show the difficult situations experienced by older adults, with the participation of 40 elderly who are institutionalized as men and women. This research work is carried out to determine the impact of family relationships, as well as the causalities of the abandonment of the elderly. This study has a qualitative and quantitative analysis approach to address the situation of the people involved, that is, the elderly and their families. |

Las necesidades de cuidado surgen de acuerdo a la etapa de la vida en la que se encuentra la persona. Las personas mayores necesitan una variedad de cuidados de acuerdo a sus necesidades del cuerpo de nutrición, actividad física, recreación, apoyo, y bienestar psicosocial, así como la adherencia al tratamiento de las enfermedades de base dependiendo de la situación. A pesar de este hecho, los ancianos no siempre pueden obtener las condiciones apropiadas para mantener su salud y bienestar, acceso familiar, social y económico al sistema seguridad social, la vulneración de sus derechos. Las Investigaciones realizadas en el Geriátrico Babahoyo muestran las situaciones difíciles vividas por los adultos mayores, con la participación de 40 ancianos están institucionalizados como hombres y mujeres. Este trabajo de investigación se realiza para determinar el impacto de las relaciones familiares, así como las causalidades del abandono del adulto mayor.
