Paciente de sexo masculino de 70 años de edad con insuficiencia respiratoria aguda.

The present clinical case is given by a 70 year old patient who showed presence of lack of oxygen, desaturation, nasal fluttering, asphyxia, hypotension, also exposes chest pain sounds, this was given in the health house where later was detected acute respiratory failure. His objective was to apply respiratory therapy techniques to a 70-year-old patient with acute respiratory failure. The patient presented a heart rate of 62 beats per minute, his breathing rate was 10 breaths per minute (presence of sounds in the lung field), with a temperature of 37.5 oC and a blood pressure of 80/50 mmHg, he presented cyanosis in the skin and dehydration, in the thoracic radiography that was practiced was obtained diffusion in the lung field and deduction of the lung size, this indicated the presence of acute respiratory insufficiency. To control this, the patient was put on an oxygen mask and was given medication to control the symptoms, to which the patient reacted favorably, presenting improvements. In conclusion, it can be assumed that the application of respiratory therapy techniques and procedures in a timely manner, allows the avoidance of subsequent complications that can lead to more serious health problems.
