The general objective was to determine the relationship between food consumption and the assessment of nutritional status in schoolchildren aged 7 to 11 years in the city of Montalvo from October 2024 to May 2025. The study used a total population of 100 students, taking into account certain inclusion and exclusion criteria. The study design was descriptive and cross-sectional, utilizing techniques such as observation, surveys, and anthropometric assessment of the students. The research results were as follows: Most students consume processed foods over natural and/or home-prepared foods. However, teaching and learning processes are needed for parents, teachers, and the rest of the educational community to improve the identified aspects and achieve better nutritional status. |
