En país prevalece la Diabetes en la población entre 10 y 59 años. La paciente a examinar es adulta mayor de 77 años de edad que pesa 65,9 kg y un mide 1,56 cm, fue diagnosticada con Diabetes Mellitus tipo II hace 15 años. Acude a consulta con su endocrinólogo por que presenta mucha variación en su glicemia diaria amanece con 120 mg/dl y se acuesta con 180 mg/dl a pesar de tomar su medicina Amaryl 2mg 1 diaria, Galvus met 50/850 mg 1 con el desayuno y merienda. Es por el ello que este estudio de caso ayudamos al tratamiento mediante la educación, dieta y actividad física.
