| Zusammenfassung: | ICTs are a set of technological tools that have transformed the way people connect, communicate and access information in the digital age. At the initial level, the use of technology is very important, because it allows improving the educational experience of children and enhancing their knowledge and skills, which is why the objective of the research was to determine the impact of ICTs on cognitive development. of the children of sublevel II of the “Gabriela Mistral” Educational Unit. With a non-experimental design, qualitative approach and descriptive nature, the methods used were: analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive. It was shown that teachers ignore the value of using ICTs by not training in the use of ICTs. On the other hand, the cognitive development of children is acceptable, the majority are creative, identify problems in the development of educational activities and have good short and long term memory; likewise, there is a significant segment of children who have difficulties in the aspects described. Findings were obtained that allowed us to correlate the use of ICTs with the cognitive development of children, because the use of information and communication technologies promotes concentration, creativity and problem solving, fundamental aspects of the cognitive dimension. |
