Diagnosed with hypertension 4 years ago, with a family history of diabetes mellitus type 2 and according to the anthropometric assessment with overweight and increased cardiovascular risk, to obtain the information on dietary habits the 24-hour reminder was applied, as a result I indicated an inadequate intake of energy and macronutrients. Through the nutritional intervention and the proposed feeding plan, all the caloric and nutritional requirements were covered based on the pathologies currently presented, and the decrease in blood pressure was verified through the dietary treatment in conjunction with the pharmacological treatment, improving the condition of the patient's health and preventing the development of future diseases. |
