For the preparation of thispracticaldocument, a survey of twentycocoaproducers in the area of Mata de cocoawascarriedout. The surveysconsisted of ten closedquestions, the sameonesthatweretabulatedby Microsoft Excel and diagrammedwithcolumn charts. The informationobtainedwasfrombooks, magazines, newspapers, scientificarticles, papers, congresses, web pages, the samethatwassubmitted to the technique of analysis, synthesis and paraphraseon the integratedmanagement of the maininsect-pests in cocoacultivation .Basedon the above, itwasdeterminedthat the majority of cocoaproducers in the Cocoa Mata area do notcarryoutintegratedpestmanagementconstantlyor at the appropriate time, becausethey do notreceive training thatpromotesunderstanding the importance of carryingoutpestcontrols. , sinceifthey are notcarriedoutthey cause a reduction in yields; itisnecessary to determine the insect-peststhataffect the crop, as well as the nutritional status of the soil and the plantation in order to reduce the proliferation of insectsthataffect the cultivation of cocoa and the use of pesticides in the cropshould be encouraged, humming to reduce productioncosts to obtainprofitableeconomicbenefitsthatimprove the quality of life of the producer and hisfamily
