Riassunto:The present case study refers to the nutritional care process in a 48 year old male patient who came to a consultation for abdominal pain, two days old, located at the level of the center of the abdomen and aims to improve their nutritional status. The respective nutritional assessment was carried out and we found that he has a BMI of 17.3 evidencing a low weight (malnutrition), in addition to biochemical values altered with a diagnosis of mild-moderate acute pancreatitis, for which we proceeded to refer the patient to the nutritionist. The patient was given his eating plan and proceeded to work together with the specialized doctors, in addition to giving the patient his personalized diet so that he can improve his condition. Then the respective follow-up and monitoring was carried out to check if there is improvement. The personalized dietotherapeutic plan is 2000 kcal a day, a low-fat diet, with enough fiber, protein and complex carbohydrates, so that you have a healthy weight and do not have an excessive intake of food.
