| Summary: | The optimal management of patients undergoing some type of surgical intervention requires comprehesive nutritional evaluation and adequate follow – up by a profesional, that is, they need the guidance of a nutritionist in order to recover their health status and avoid subsequent complications, guaranteeing an adequate energy contribution before during and after Surgery. The present clinical case whose theme is a 45- year – old male patient with hipertensive Obesity type 1 who is taking a biliary litiasis; who goes to the emergency department for a 4 – hour clinical picture characterized by sudden abdominal pain, located in the right hypochondrium accompanied by nausea and vomiting of biliary origin, on suspicion of cholecystitis, the patient is evaluated by the surgeon on duty who performs an emergency cholecystectomy. The patient is discharged at 72 hours without complications with interconsultation to nutrition. In this clinical case I will perform the treatment and nutritional assessment of the patient through anthropometric, biochemical, clinical and dietary indicators, also developing a personalized and adequate eating plan taking into account the patient´s food tastes and the pathologies presented, covering nutritional needs; In addition, through nutritional talks we will try to raise awareness of the food change that you should bring to maintain your health. With our intervention we will show significant evidence at the end through the monitoring that will be applied, be these anthropometric evidences the weight, BMI. % body fat, changes in the biochemical, clinical and dietary. |
