Summary:This case study focused on the issue of intrafamily child abuse and its influence on the behavior of a 12-year-old resident of the El Empalme canton, which was based on the use of psychometric tests that provided the necessary information for the elaboration. of this case. Therefore, a presumptive diagnosis of Behavioral Disorder could be given, since the patient is a victim of intrafamily child abuse, which has affected his lifestyle, impacting the interpersonal and family social area, which is why cognitive behavioral therapy is altered. through which the desired behaviors will be reinforced, and those maladaptive of the patient will be eliminated. Within this case study, the mixed research methodology was offered for the analysis and description of the problem, which was accompanied by psychological and diagnostic application techniques such as the observation sheet, the interview and the psychological clinical history. Therefore, a presumptive psychodiagnosis could be given as a behavioral disorder since living in a dysfunctional family environment and submitting to intrafamily abuse affected their lifestyle, impacting all their areas of development, so cognitive behavioral therapy lasts. through which the management of self-control will be improved in addition to increasing their ability to solve problems and their communication skills.
