Summary:This research refers to nosocomial infections currently represent one of the biggest health problems that health institutions due to lack of biosecurity measures, little economic resources, conflicts, neglect facing the control and surveillance, insufficient preparation and training for staff, among others. For all that biosecurity it is no longer a matter just of the patient, becoming a problem of the whole team that makes up the health unit as they are exposed to biological hazards and other risk factors noninfectious; in this sense the embodiment of the present study is of particular importance, because its development will contribute to raising the level of knowledge of the staff working in the Health Center # 4 of the Ministry of Public Health of the city of Guayaquil, promoting new attitudes and practices for the prevention of accidents by reducing the risk of acquiring infectious diseases by microorganisms or by inhalation, ingestion, direct contact, through the skin or mucous eroded and / or sound and through the conjunctiva, ensuring a work environment safe.
