Sumari:Organizations live in constant transformations that require them to maintain excellent work performance and quality of service for their development, so it is necessary that they know how to manage them. Therefore, the research carried out had the objective of determining the way in which work performance influenced the quality of service of the employees of the Municipality of the Puebloviejo Canton, Los Ríos. For the execution of this work, a cross-sectional descriptive-explanatory design methodology was applied, with an applicative and purposeful approach. Its sample consisted of 80 workers belonging to the aforementioned organization, and the research technique was the survey that was handled with a questionnaire based on the Likert Scale. The results obtained showed that the majority of the workers agreed that both variables influence each other, and with them their dimensions, labor productivity, labor efficiency, effectiveness, customer satisfaction, trust and empathy; presenting a conversion according to the Rho Spearman coefficient of 0.584, with a significance level of p <0.01, which in conclusion refers to the fact that job performance does influence the quality of the service provided to users who come to the GAD Municipality of Pueblo Viejo.
