Add Tag | Summary: | Corn is a raw material for different segments of the food chain. In Ecuador is a source of raw materials for agro-balanced and a variety of products in the food chain. However, in the Ecuador's low productivity of this item by a high incidence of S. frugiperda with an exclusive reliance on pesticides, with severe damage to the environment pollution. This research was conducted in the agro-ecological zone The Huaquilla Campus, located at Km 22 Via Babahoyo-Montalvo, on the premises of Mr. William Ramos Peña. It was planted in the dry season in irrigated conditions. The area has a humid tropical climate with an average temperature of 25.06 ° C, an annual rainfall of 2329.8mm, relative humidity of 82% and 998.2 of heliofania annual average. The research site is located at coordinates 681 252 of longitude and latitude 9'794 .727. The floor is flat topography, clay loam and regular drainage. As genetic material planting hybrid seed was employed DEKALB 399 (BEFORE 2B7919), we used the randomized complete block design with 9 treatments and 4 replications |
