Resumo:Uterine prolapse is a condition that affects the quality of life of women who suffer from this situation, it is called the descent of one of the anatomical elements that make up the vaginal cavity generating a physical, emotional and social impact. It is characterized by pain, stress incontinence, and repercussions in terms of daily activities, problems in self-esteem and social relationships. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the quality of life of women with uterine prolapse treated at the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital in Guaranda, being a descriptive cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The modified P-QoL questionnaire was applied to a sample of 50 women with diagnosis or suspicion of uterine prolapse, where physical, emotional and social aspects were analyzed. Seventy-six percent of the women reported a significant impact on their quality of life. The main limitations were in daily activities (74%-76%), social (78%) and physical (86%). Eighty-two percent reported an impact on their sex life. Uterine prolapse has a considerable negative impact on patients' lives, affecting their functionality, relationships and psychological well-being.
