Summary:The present clinical case is about of the nutritional management of type II mellitus diabetes and diabetic foot ulcer through the study of a 45-year-old female patient diagnosed with type II Mellitus diabetes, who attended the appointment due to pain, numbness and discoloration. In the skin of the right heel, that the reason why through the clinic and according to the classification of Dr. Wagner, the doctor determines ulcer of degree I of the diabetic foot, because of a lack of control of his diabetes. For the development of it, was carried out an analysis where the main objective was to design a nutritional treatment in relation to its nutritional status appropriate for the treatment of said pathology. Through which was applied a nutritional intervention based on a comprehensive nutritional diagnosis, it consisted in the elaboration of a nutritional assessment which indicated grade I obesity, with an android body composition, moderate cardiovascular risk, hyperglycemia due to poorly controlled diabetes, protein deficit-vitamin and inadequate food intake, in addition to the implementation of a 1604 kcal / day nutritional plan divided into five meal that resulted a reduction in fasting blood glucose levels of 49 mg / dl and glycosylated hemoglobin of 6%, also, a weight loss of 5 kg in a period of four months, which can be observed in the established control regimen.
