In this context, and looking at disturbing security trends affecting both the country and the province of Los Rios, this study examines facial recognition systems and how they can improve security and control. access at Babahoyo Technical University for 2023, given the disturbing security trends that are affecting affecting both the country and the province of Los Rios. The increase in crime and threats in these areas has required the introduction of innovative solutions to protect academic communities and improve security and control of access to the school. This study not only explores the technical and theoretical aspects of facial recognition, but also the implementation of a prototype in the university environment of the Technological University of Babahoyo.
