Resumo:In Ecuador, the fishing industry has played a leading role in the formation of the gross domestic product and in the country's exports, therefore, the financial analysis of the companies that belong to this industry is relevant in order to know and enhance the areas that they are in critical condition so that said industry maintains the level that up to these days has played what is closely related to the management of the accounting information. The Santa Priscila Fishing Industry belongs to this industry since 1976 exporting shrimp, tilapia and other products, analyzing the last years from the financial aspect it shows a clear decrease in profitability, profitability is important because in the long run it is the that will allow the company to remain in the economic activity to which it belongs. Within this case study it will be evident that, from the perspective of the dupont analysis, financial efficiency has ceased to be a main source of profitability and now it is the management of liabilities, this generates a certain level of risk since it is not It depends on the efforts of the organization. The equilibrium point increased by 37% which causes the company in question to become more complicated to generate profits directly affecting profitability. Liquidity remains in both years at low levels, the ratio of working capital has suffered a decrease, but in the two years it remained below the recommended standards. The acid test however increased what speaks of an increase in inventory which is translated into purchases.
