| Résumé: | Drone technology has radically transformed the agricultural arena by providing new possibilities for profitable and efficient farming. These unmanned aerial devices have become invaluable tools for monitoring crops, collecting accurate data and making informed decisions. Drones enable farmers to detect plant health problems, identify water-scarce areas, and apply targeted treatments with precision and timeliness. In this review, we explore the fascinating world of drones applied to agriculture. From crop monitoring to precise input application, drones have unlocked unprecedented potential to maximize yields, reduce costs and mitigate environmental impacts. We assess both the advantages and challenges associated with their implementation. Globally, agriculture is focused on ensuring long-term food security, which has driven the search for modern technologies that address the lack of adequate crop care. The purpose of this study is to provide information on how drones have evolved from simple flying toys to indispensable tools in today's agriculture, highlighting their ability to transform traditional methods and open new opportunities for smarter and more sustainable agricultural management. Through a comprehensive literature review, case study analysis and practical considerations, we seek to provide a complete picture of how drones contribute to achieving economically profitable, environmentally friendly and socially responsible agriculture. |
