Bronchiolitis is one of the most important causes of admission to children under two years, there are risk factors that increases the likelihood of having the disease, in addition to having an unfavorable evolution often in males, In Ecuador the cause of death in children under 0 and 2 years old it corresponds to respiratory infections with 16.4%, and are the reason for the most frequent medical consultation due to acute pathology; the reason for this investigation was to provide the population of the Matecito Campus with the prevention of acute bronchiolitis, OBJECTIVE: To analyze the influence that exists in the ignorance of the risk factors in acute bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age to establish the proper management of its prevention and reduce mortality rates. The Field Investigation was used, palpating the reality of the problems experienced by the families of the Matecito Campus, to inquire about care and possible risks in infants through interviews with mothers and fathers. This type of research had a methodology of qualitative type, and an observational analytical study, which managed to collect the direct information, and describe the study of the variables, the techniques allowed to obtain accurate data from the community for which it was demonstrated that the 43% are unaware of the exact age in which a child with acute bronchiolitis is transmitted, 68% of children suffering from acute bronchiolitis in this room are affected by environmental factors including smog, climate changes, air pollution, humidity, likewise 63% of mothers are unaware of the means to prevent acute bronchiolitis. For this reason, an alternative proposal was applied through an educational training program aimed at mothers, fathers or caregivers of children under 2 years of age living in the Matecito Campus on knowledge of risk factors, prevention and care of acute bronchiolitis. allow lower mortality rates.
