This project deals with the importance of journalistic investigations and the repercussions on society, the investigation that we will be analyzing will be the case "The Great Godfather", the same one that was carried out by the digital media La Posta, this exploration covers topics such as drug trafficking and corruption, Ecuador's influence peddling in the country's hydroelectric and electrical plants, the investigation involved 630 hours of work, and the review of 1,500 public contracts, led by journalist Andersson Boscán. The Great Godfather investigation had an impact on the elected president, Guillermo Lasso, for being knowledgeable about corruption networks, in which, according to the investigation, was his brother-in-law Danilo Carrera, this omission cost him a political trial by the national assembly and On May 17, 2023, the decision to cross-death was a historic event that occurred for the first time in the country. These acts of corruption that seem so common in our country are important because they take away the resources that have already been allocated for different areas such as health, economy, sports, but above all the country loses credibility in the eyes of the world, which is why . It is necessary to understand the seriousness of this cancer that only kills us Ecuadorian citizens.
