Zusammenfassung:The present study was carried out at the School of Basic Education Gabriela Mistral, enclosure "August 6" Canton Valencia, Los Rios province, with the aim of improving the level of literacy and thus the ability of understanding and communication of students through the development of language macrodestrezas, for purposes of research and scope of the target, they were identified and inquired those language skills in students to determine their impact on communication development. According to the survey results, it was found and determined that there are clearly shortcomings in the communicative development of students, which is evident in the form of expression, the slang and catch phrases used to communicate with others; these problems are the result of insufficient development of language macrodestrezas (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and lack of study skills in learners. The field study revealed that inadequate and limited application of teaching methods by teachers in the process of learning of language and literature, do not allow efficiently develop language and communication skills in students, and the environment in which these are developed (home, school and society), it is negatively affecting the development of macrodestrezas, which causes poor communication. The proposal is based on the application of knowledge to solve problems diagnosed and theories learned in the development of this study. The aim is to achieve efficient communication in students through a guide for teachers with techniques and methods aimed at developing linguistic macrodestrezas.
