Its main objective is to identify tour guides’ English level as a contribution to the tourist development of the province of Los Ríos, for the incentive of English language training. For the study’s purposes, the type of qualitative and descriptive research was used, in addition to the bibliographic methods and interviews with the tourist guides of the province. The results of this research provide data on the number of tour guides in the province of Los Ríos and data from the analysis of the tourism guides' English level, which contributes greatly to be able to fulfill the objective of identifying the tour guides' English level and its contribution to tourism. This case study established the degree tour guides' English level of the Province of Los Ríos is intermediate, mostly the level of English is type B1. |
