Sumari:This research work covers a problem that is very common in adolescents, families and centers that provide attention to students, such as social phobia, in this case in particular, influenced the emotional state of a 15-year-old teenager, with consequences that characterize this type of situation, this issue involves considerable attention from psychologists, family members and therefore the same institution (DECE) where the teenager develops. A clinical case diagnosed with moderate anxiety is described while pre-professional practices were carried out in the Babahoyo Educational Unit, Department of Student Counseling (DECE). It was recognized which was the most influential factor in the maintenance of symptoms during the application of the various psychological techniques in the interviews, and later in the interventions, with the application of a psychotherapeutic scheme of cognitive behavioral therapy
