Sumario:Laryngotracheobronchitis (LT) or croup is a viral infection that affects the larynx and can spread within the trachea and bronchi. Being a common cause of pediatric emergencies. It is of a seasonal nature, mainly of cold climates and of viral etiology in certain occasions by bacteria. Its clinical characteristic is hoarseness, barking cough, inspiratory stridor, respiratory distress. Its incidence is higher in children between 3 month and 5 years. The resolution of symptoms occurs over a period of 48 hours or more with almost complete recovery. The present case study has the general objective of providing a comprehensive nursing care plan with responsibility and human quality in a 6-month-old male patient with acute laryngotracheobronchitis (Croup) through the application of ECP through of the NANDA, NIC and NOC taxonomies.
