Description
Summary:This case study focuses on the physiotherapy intervention applied to a 47-year-old patient who has been diagnosed with axial spondyloarthritis (AS). The patient presents a series of clinical manifestations, including ankylosis, polyarticular pain and inflammation in the joints of the upper and lower limbs, as well as generalized limitation of movement. The main findings of the initial evaluation revealed a lack of joint range in all joints, tenderness, and poor gait. The goals of physical therapy treatment focus on three key areas: improving joint mobility, strengthening supporting and stabilizing muscles, and promoting functional independence. Treatment will include a series of therapeutic techniques, specific exercises and strategies to address pain and inflammation.
