Shrnutí:This case study identifies learning environment strategies that motivate and improve the teaching and learning process in the area of social studies in third grade children at the General Basic School of the Emigdio Esparza Moreno Educational Unit. A quantitative and qualitative approach was applied, with a descriptive scope and a non-experimental design. The study population consisted of 25 students and the teacher of the area, to whom the survey and interview were applied as data collection techniques, respectively, and a questionnaire with closed questions was used as a tool with the support of the researcher. The results of the analysis show that the lack of a teaching method affects the motivation of the students. In addition, it is evident that one of the best practices to apply in teaching and learning environments is active and collaborative education with a constructivist approach. Likewise, it is assured that the strategy to complement the teaching spaces are the learning corners using techniques that are adapted to the space and time. Finally, it is recommended that pedagogical strategies should be implemented in the classroom in order to achieve an integral educational development.
