description This paper presents the nutritional status of a 15-year-old Ecuadorian adolescent with hemiplegia because throughout his youth he had an accident in a river in the sector where he lived where he was practically immobile taken to a health house he had complications with the swallowing of food since he began to have a low weight where his diagnosis was spinal hemiplegia. Throughout his treatment he presented a picture of dysphagia where he hinders and puts at risk his nutritional status since his diet is not adequate. In the present study, the following pathologies were identified as spinal hemiplegia, dysphagia causing nutritional risk since their diet is affected. A nutritional action plan was made to facilitate the swallowing process with food since this way we can avoid malnutrition in the patient.

A nutritional action plan was made to facilitate the swallowing process with food since this way we can avoid malnutrition in the patient.En este trabajo se presenta el estado nutricional de un adolescente ecuatoriano de 15 años de edad con hemiplejia debido a que a lo largo de su juventud tuvo un accidente en un río del sector donde él vivía donde prácticamente quedo inmóvil llevado a una casa de salud tenia complicaciones con la deglución de los alimentos ya que comenzó a tener un bajo peso donde su diagnóstico fue hemiplejia espinal. A lo largo de su tratamiento presento un cuadro de disfagia donde dificulta y pone en riesgo su estado nutricional ya que su alimentación no es adecuada y no tiene un mayor porcentaje de proteína. En el presente estudio se identificó las siguientes patologías como hemiplejia espinal, disfagia provocando riesgo nutricional ya que es afectada su alimentación. Se realizó un plan de acción nutricional para facilitar el proceso de deglución con los alimentos ya que así podemos evitar una desnutrición en el paciente y no adquirir otras enfermedades.
